ROBERTS Cool Shield Heat Bond Iron

ROBERTS Cool Shied Heat Bond Iron is a must-have to install carpet like a Pro. It quickly melts 3 in. wide heat bond tape, keeps a cooler top shield temperature, and minimizes heat transfer to the carpet to prevent damage to the carpet. Even on the highest setting of 425°F, the patented Cool Shield technology reaches a maximum heat shield temperature of 256°F. This heat bond iron has an adjustable thermostat with heating indicator light, the “S” shaped heating element in this iron provides even heating and longer heat retention. It features a double heat shield to minimize deformities of carpet backing and face yarn. It has a "comb profile" end on the soleplate that forms ridges in the adhesive, delivering stronger carpet seams. The top heat shield stays up to 175° cooler than the soleplate. It has a convenient 3-way cord adjustment that keeps the 9-1/2 ft. cord out of the way during installation.
