Rotala Macrandra is a magnificent aquarium plant, however, it is quite demanding. This variety is a little simpler to grow and produces vibrant colors. It requires a lot of light to produce its gorgeous pink and red colors. It also preferred soft water and lots of CO2, micro, and macronutrients are essential for healthy growth.
Farm-raised Rotala Macrandra is easily broken in transit because of the fragile stems. It is also harder to adapt to the new environment when the plant reaches the mature stage. Therefore, here at Aquarium Plants Factory, we always recommended buying Rotala Macrandra in vitro, tissue culture version because they are still a young plant, sterile, and easier to adapt to your aquarium compare to the adult, farm raise version.
